Mazda CX-70 in Kansas City, MO

We like to keep up with car news here at Luther Mazda of Kansas City, especially when Mazda has something new up its sleeve! The manufacturer recently announced the release of three all-new vehicles by 2023. The lineup began with the release of the Mazda CX-50 in fall 2022, showcasing the enhanced all-wheel drive capabilities and functionality for people with active outdoor lifestyles. The following two vehicles will be built on a larger platform and named the CX-70 and CX-90, the latter offering three-row seating. These models will follow Mazda’s newer longitudinal architecture and will feature a new inline-six-cylinder engine and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Style and Technology

Mazda has released few details about the CX-70, but certain standard features on current Mazda models are likely to be included. Joey Capparella over at Car and Driver believes the two-row five-seater CX-70 will come with materials including Nappa leather, wood trim, and woven textiles. They also states that this vehicle will have a nicer cabin compared to competitors in its price range. Capparella also speculates that the Mazda CX-70 will have an infotainment screen as large as 12.3 inches, similar to the screen included on the Mazda CX-60 sold in Europe. They also expect a rotary knob on the center console to control the device, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Safety Features

Today’s standard safety features should be included in the new vehicle. Many of Mazda’s current cars have blind spot assistance, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist, among others. However, some of the Mazda CX-50 trims offer a 360º view monitor, an adaptive front-lighting system, and an active driving display.
